FAQ

  • Do I have to order online?
    No. We have regular store hours in Idaho Falls, ID. If you are local to the area, please stop by during our normal business hours or contact us for an appointment. You may also find us at many competitions. Lastly, we are happy to help you over the phone. You may call the front desk of Extreme Ballroom Company, and leave a message for Sparkle City.   • Do you ship outside the United States?
    At this time, we only ship to the contiguous 48 states.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and cash. If you need to set up an account to accommodate a payment plan, you may contact our bookkeeper, Trisha Randall. Delivery is made once the balance of an order is paid in full.
  • What is your return policy?
    All acceptable returns and exchanges must be initiated within 14 days of receipt of purchase and be unworn/unused with the tags still intact. If you are returning a pair of unused shoes under our Guarantee Fit, please send an email to extremesparklecity@gmail.com with your Guarantee Fit code and the reason our fit does not work for you. We will contact you to finalize the details of your replacement pair of shoes and arrange for return shipping of your original purchase. If you are returning clothing items, they must be unworn and with their tags still intact. You may exchange an item for a different size at no cost. If you do not want to exchange the item, you may return it for a refund to your original method of payment minus a 10% restocking fee. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless it is due to a manufacturer's defect. Please email us at extremeparklecity@gmail.com for a return authorization code. We will not accept returns without an authorization code. Non-clothing items purchased off our website or in person at our store or a competition are final. This includes earrings, hair pins, hairspray, tanning lotions, shoe brushes, collar stays, etc.
  • How is shipping calculated?
    We calculate shipping based on the overall weight of your order.
  • Do you sell consignment items?
    Yes! We are excited to offer the ballroom community a place to sell and purchase gently shoes (in current IDS styles that Extreme uses for competition) If you are interested in consigning your gently used shoes, please visit us at Sparkle City or find us at a competition near you. Please note: the consignor and not Sparkle City own consignment items. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items. We also work to encourage fair pricing of all items accepted for consignment, but the consignor makes the final decision regarding pricing.
  • Do you rent costumes and/or shoes?
    We do not rent costumes or shoes.
  • Is there a discount for ballroom programs?
    Yes! We would love to work with you to outfit your ballroom program. We offer a 20% discount to ballroom programs purchasing 10 or more pieces of syllabus wear at a time. Please reach out to Gina at extremesparklecity@gmail.com to discuss your needs.
  • What is the Sparkle City Fit Guarantee?
    Sparkle City understands that ballroom shoes fit differently than regular street shoes. We spent years perfecting the art of sizing shoes so each dancer is placed in the correct style and fit. We have literally helped thousands of dancers step into their perfect shoe. This experience gives us the confidence to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on shoes purchased through us when one of our trained staff fits you. If you worked with one of our staff, you received a Fit Guarantee Code at the end of your appointment. If you order according to our recommendations, then please enter this code in the appropriate box on the ordering page for your shoe. This will alert our staff that your order is covered by our guarantee and if you are not satisfied with your shoe upon arrival, we will cover the cost of replacing it with the same design in a different size. The guarantee does not cover orders made outside our recommendation. Nor does it cover shoes ordered in a size other than the Guarantee Fit size even if it is the same shoe style. Our Guarantee Fit is good for 60 days unless otherwise noted.
  • What brands do you offer?
    We are an approved distributor of International Dance Shoes. We believe their shoes offer the best value, quality of workmanship, and style range. While we believe that many other shoes are excellent (Aida, Ray Rose, Supadance, etc.), IDS remains our favorite.
  • Do you sell heel guards/caps?
    Yes! We include a free set of heel guards with every new purchase of shoes. However, we also carry a wide range of heel guards/caps to accommodate almost all styles and brands of shoes. Remember, most competitions require all heels to be covered. So, stop by our booth and we will safely remove your old guards and replace them with new ones.
  • Do your shoes ever go on sale?
    We offer a discount for purchasing your shoes during our Shoe Days. This is during Extreme Ballroom Company's Dance Camp in August (typically the first full week of the month). If you are able to come to our store that week, we can offer you our in-house ballroom program pricing. Shoes are delivered by the second week in September.
  • Where is Sparkle City?
    Sparkle City is a division of Extreme Ballroom Company close to Idaho Falls, ID. Our brick-and-mortar store is located inside Extreme Ballroom at 2873 E 14th N, Ammon, Idaho 83401. We are open: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm; Wednesdays 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm; and by appointment as needed. We also vend at many competitions in the Idaho Falls, ID area, and greater Salt Lake valley.
  • Is Sparkle City available at competitions?
    Yes! We work with many competition organizers to provide our services and products at your favorite competitions. Check our Visit Us! page to find out whether we will be at a competition near you.
